Walton Youth & Community Project (WYCP) are a project that primarily focuses on working with young people but does work with the wider community as well. It is located on City Road, Walton which is very close to Our House.
WYCP works with young people aged 8-19 and provides youth nights three nights
a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It also provides a lunch club for the wider community at Thursday lunchtime as well as going out on detached youth work on Thursday evenings.
As well as this WYCP also provides one to one support for young people and the fare share project which supplies surplus donations from supermarkets to community members in need for a small fee each week.
WYCP also goes on 3-4 residentials a year taking young people who have engaged with the project to the Yorkshire countryside and last summer were able to stay on a farm in Gloucestershire getting involved in farm tasks and learning where food comes from.
WYCP’s goal is to better the lives of young people and the wider community in any way they can. Anyone else is welcome so give them a call if you or your child are interested in joining.

Arts and crafts is an ongoing group session at Our House. While we have created some wonderful arts and craft like the photo above, the main goal of these sessions is to bring people together who may be lonely and isolated, want to make new friends or simply want to get crafty.
The arts and craft is facilitated by a student placement from Liverpool Hope University. As much as possible we encourage community members to bring ideas for sessions to us and possibly lead the session if they are comfortable doing this. So far community members have assisted in planning and leading.
the community blanket, bracelet making, knitting and crocheting and have further plans for the future.
We are always looking for new members to join us so if you feel like this group could benefit you then join us. If any funders happen to read this, we are always looking for funding to keep the group going, especially during the cold winter months.
